Cedric Maloux is a French entrepreneur and investor based in Prague. With over 35 years in tech, he’s been building, scaling, and advising startups since 1996, when he launched and later sold his first web portal.
With a Master’s in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence (1992), Cedric combines deep technical expertise with a sharp understanding of business strategy and human behavior — a rare mix that makes him both a trusted advisor and a hands-on operator. He’s bootstrapped and sold a company, saved two from collapse, raised funding from Index Ventures and Mangrove Capital, and helped grow one startup to millions of users.
Since 2013, he has led StartupYard, Central Europe’s longest-running accelerator, backing over 100 early-stage companies. These startups have collectively raised over €100M in follow-on investment. Cedric is a French Trade Advisor, President of French Tech Prague, and a frequent speaker on startup growth, strategy, and innovation.
